Harvest

Manual, with a selection in the vineyard on the stainless grape bin. The Harvest started on the 2nd of October. The particular weither conditions (fresh temperatures at the beginning of the year, a fresh and rainy spring, followed by a warmer summer and a rainy end July) brought  later maturities than usual. It didn't prevent ud to harvest in good conditions beautiful grapes, certainly in little quantity but with an excellent quality. It provides a well balanced vintage, intense and explosive, with a very beautiful purplish colour.

Wine-Making

Traditionally during 15 days -with thermoregulation to controlled the temperatures

Ageing

8 to 12 months in oak big barrels

Tasting

 The Vieilles Vignes 2013 has a very beautiful purple dress. Its nose is explosive in flavors. This tasty vintage reveals little by little notes at once fruity, peppery and spicy, like raspberry, cherry, fresh thyme or rosemary. This Vieilles Vignes, pleasant and intense, only ask to open more...

Winemaker's Advice

The explosive and fruity notes of the Vieilles Vignes 2013 will wonderfully marry with cheeses and typical meats such as game, duck breast and lamb. You can also accompany this vintage with a good roast beef served with green beans and a fried mushroom with butter and parsley.
